Chelsea Green has faced a challenging period lately, with her recent performances drawing criticism. Her tenure as the Women’s U.S. Champion has not met fan expectations, leading many to believe that Triple H and his creative team have overlooked her potential. Adding to her woes, a distressing incident involving Zelina Vega occurred during a recent match.
Incident at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 2025
During the WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 2025, Zelina Vega defended her Women’s U.S. Championship against Chelsea Green in a rematch. The match was fiercely contested, with Green initially taking control. However, as the match progressed, her advantage diminished. Despite support from her allies at ringside, Green was unable to clinch the win, and Vega ultimately retained her title.
A significant mishap transpired during the bout when Vega attempted a 619 maneuver. Unfortunately, the execution failed, resulting in her knee striking Green's nose directly. The impact caused Green to bleed profusely from her nose, and post-match footage revealed her face covered in blood.
Chelsea Green's Reaction
After the match, a visibly shaken Chelsea Green took to social media to express her feelings. Overwhelmed with emotion, she recounted her experience, stating, "This is madness. I was confused when the referee spoke to me; I thought he said I won, but instead, he informed me that my nose was broken. I was in disbelief. I’m not angry, just frustrated to the point of laughter."
She continued, "I asked the referee if he was joking, but he assured me I needed immediate medical attention. My nose is in really bad shape."
